Amazon Prime commentators 2022: Full list of pundits for Premier League games from Laura Woods to Patrice Evra

Amazon Prime Video have announced their TV line-ups for the Boxing Day and festive fixtures, shown live on its streaming platforms.

The tech giant has a deal to show 20 Premier League games a season until the end of the 2024-24 campaign.

While in previous years Amazon decided to show all 20 of their matches across the Christmas Period, this year they split their allowance between the October midweek games and the Boxing Day fixtures.

As Arsenal vs Manchester City was rearranged from October, Amazon will show that game on 15 February.

With seven games live on Boxing Day, Amazon have lined up a star-studded cast of British football’s biggest names, including Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry and Laura Woods in the studio and Peter Drury on the gantry.

Who is involved in the Amazon Prime TV coverage?

Amazon have selected some of the most recognisable faces and voices in football for their Boxing Day coverage.

Laura Woods and Gabby Logan are two of sports presenting’s biggest stars, as are Simon Thomas and the veteran Jim Rosenthal.

On the commentary side, English football fans who often feel starved of Peter Drury‘s poetic musings on Sky will be pleased to see him in the line-up after his return from Qatar.

Clive Tyldesley, Guy Mowbray and Jon Champion are other iconic voices who will grace our screens in the days following Christmas.

With Alan Shearer, Patrice Evra and Thierry Henry, Amazon have selected three of the most recognisable pundits currently working in football.

Other ex-players and managers brought in to provide expert analysis include Joe Cole, Michael Owen, Roy Hodgson and Tony Pulis.

And, of course, who doesn’t want to spend their Boxing Day listening to Gabby Agbonlahor and Steve McManaman’s dulcet tones?

Ex-Premier League referee Chris Foy will also be adding a match offical’s viewpoint across all the games, stepping into the Peter Walton role.
