Chelsea fans turned on Mauricio Pochettino during the draw against Brentford by chanting “f**k off Mauricio” and singing former manager Jose Mourinho‘s name.
The away end also took aim at Todd Boehly after Yoane Wissa had put the Bees 2-1 up by singing “Boehly you’re a c**t, Boehly, Boehly you’re a c**t”.
The Blues fought back to earn a point through Axel Disasi, but the vocal show of dissent against Pochettino will raise further question marks over his future at the club.
Chelsea took the lead in the first half when Nicolas Jackson headed home a sumptuous Malo Gusto cross and were seemingly in control of the game before ceding momentum after the break.
Mads Roerslev equalised with a scrappy finish from close-range before Wissa put the Bees in front with a stunning overhead kick in the 69th minute.
That moment was the catalyst for Chelsea supporters’ discontent with anti-Boehly and Pochettino chants breaking out.
Boehly incidentally was not in attendance at the Gtech Community Stadium as he was in the McLaren paddock in Bahrain.
Pochettino, who enjoyed a successful five-and-a-half spell with Chelsea’s rivals Tottenham, has struggled to win over supporters since taking charge last summer.
Last weekend’s Carabao Cup final defeat to an inexperienced Liverpool side has seen his popularity plummet further and led to increased calls among fans for Mourinho to return for a third spell.
Mourinho, who won three Premier League titles, three Carabao Cups and an FA Cup across two spells with the Blues was sacked by Roma in January.
