Jose Mourinho ‘forgives’ Chelsea coach who taunted him

Jose Mourinho says he has forgiven the member of Chelsea coaching staff who taunted him following Ross Barkley’s 96th minute equaliser at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

There was carnage on the touchline after the late goal, with staff from both clubs coming face-to-face and Mourinho reacting furiously to the home dugout’s enthusiastic celebrations.

But in his post-match press conference, Mourinho made clear the incident was left in the past.

“It was not celebrations. [It was] bad education,” the Manchester United manager said.

“But I also made many mistakes in football matches, especially when I was younger, and I will make many more so when he came to apologise I accepted.”
