England have a chance to avenge World Cup semi-final defeat as they face Croatia on Friday night.
Both sides are in need of a win following defeats to Spain in their opening Uefa Nations League clashes, although there will be extra pressure on the hosts following their 6-0 drubbing last month.

Their cause will not be helped, however, by the fact the game is being played behind closed doors in punishment for fans spraying a swastika on the pitch before a Euro 2016 qualifier against Italy in 2015.

Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren and Frankfurt’s Ante Rebic, who both missed defeat to Spain, have been recalled to the Croatia squad, while Sime Vrsaljko, Marcelo Brozovic, Borna Barisic, Lovre Kalinic and Duje Cop have all withdrawn through injury.
Mario Mandzukic, who scored the extra-time winner in the World Cup semi-final, retired after the tournament and is therefore unavailable.
Luke Shaw and James Tarkowski were both forced to withdraw from the England squad and have been replaced by Ben Chilwell and Lewis Dunk respectively. Meanwhile, Dele Alli is still out with the hamstring injury first revealed by i last month and Jesse Lingard is also unavailable. Other than that there are no major injury concerns for the Three Lions.
Gareth Southgate called up youngsters Jadon Sancho, Mason Mount and James Maddison in his boldest squad selection yet as national team manager but is likely to stick with a relatively experienced XI.
Raheem Sterling has returned to fitness since defeat to Spain and is likely to take Lingard’s place, while Eric Dier could come in for Alli to bolster the midfield alongside Jordan Henderson in a bid to nullify Croatia’s strongest area of the pitch.
