Manchester City lay in wait for the winners of the Carabao Cup semi-final between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night.
Pep Guardiola’s men secured their place in the Wembley showdown thanks to a narrow 1-0 win over Burton Albion on Wednesday (an altogether more hefty win when you take into account the 9-0 result of the first-leg…).
As well as a day out at the national stadium the final is a chance for one club to claim early silverware and take a touch of pressure off the rest of their season.
