Tottenham made a remarkable comeback in Amsterdam on Wednesday night, winning a semi-final second leg 2-3 over Ajax in the Johan Cruijff ArenA to book a place in the Champions League final next month.
The BT Sports presenters could barely contain themselves at the final goal, Lucas Moura’s third, netted with a minute left in injury time to near-guarantee Spurs’ progression.

It was the second comeback from an English side in successive nights, as Liverpool similarly caught Barcelona off-guard with a 4-0 win at Anfield – and the Anfield faithful were watching the other semi-final with interest.
Casual viewers also marvelled at the drama, with many tweets reacting to the late goal descending to gibberish, swearing, or a general praise at the wonders of football.
An incredible comeback

Seconds after Lucas Moura’s third goal found the net and Ajax players collapsed to the floor, social media was awash with tweets expressing sheer amazement, and a few jokes to boot.
Some also remarked on the likelihood of two excellent comebacks on consecutive nights.
I love my job. What a delight and a privilege to have witnessed 2 of the greatest comebacks in the history of the beautiful game. Absolutely magical. Well played @SpursOfficial. Well played.

Others produced some incredible statistics:
Lucas Moura has taken 3 shots in the Champions League with his left foot this season, all last night vs Ajax, all three goals. Dude is right footed.

Incredible stat from my old colleague @bartf to end the evening.
Tonight's defeat for Ajax was the FIRST time they had lost a home match after leading by 2+ goals at half time since football went professional in the Netherlands in 1954.
Goodnight all.#ajatot #ajaxtottenham

There was more than one video syncing the collapse of the Ajax players to the ground with the Titanic theme tune, or to Radiohead’s Just, mimicking the famous music video.
Liverpool fan reaction
There were a number of points of concern for Liverpool fans. Above all was that Spurs looked dangerous in their comeback.
Staying humble for this final. No way am I taking Spurs lightly just like the players and Klopp won’t. We have to fight for this like crazy. #LFC

That's incredible.
I'd rather of played Ajax.
Spurs seem to have the luck throughout the tournament.
But tonight it's no more than they deserve #UCL #THFC #LFC #ajatot

Another talking point was the speed at which Harry Kane ran onto the pitch at the end of the match, despite his ankle injury.
