BBC Euro 2020 commentators: The full line-up of Euros presenters and pundits – from Gary Lineker to Alex Scott

Gary Lineker will front the BBC’s coverage of Euro 2020 despite quitting his role on BT Sport.

The former England striker confirmed in May that he would be standing down from Champions League shows in order to spend next season travelling to watch Leicester’s Europa League campaign with his sons.

Lineker will still be a familiar face in the studio at this summer’s tournament and will present England’s opening game against Croatia from Wembley on 13 June.

Over the course of the tournament, Gabby Logan, Eilidh Barbour and Mark Chapman will also be hosting alongside an array of pundits, including Match of the Day regular Alan Shearer.

One pundit who will be missing is Thierry Henry, as the Frenchman has rejoined Roberto Martinez’s coaching set-up with Belgium.

Guy Mowbray, Jonathan Pearce and Vicki Sparks are among the commentators and they will be joined by co-commentators including Jermaine Jenas and Robbie Savage.

At the age of just 22, Scotland Women’s international Erin Cuthbert is the youngest co-commentator.

Here is the full list of the BBC’s pundits, presenters and commentators:

Pundits – who’s who

  • Alan Shearer – Shearer is well-accustomed to the BBC sofa having been on MotD week in, week out. The ex-England striker scored 30 goals in his 63 international caps.
  • Rio Ferdinand – Ferdinand is typically seen on BT Sport in the regular season. The former Manchester United centre-back retired in 2015.
  • Alex Scott – Newly announced as the host of Football Focus, Scott earned almost a century and a half of England caps, scoring 12 goals.

  • Mark Hughes – Managed Wales for five years before leaving to begin coaching in the Premier League.
