Twenty-four nations competing at Euro 2020 means 24 home kits on display.
And with the delayed tournament finally getting under way this month, we have ranked every home jersey set to grace your television screens this summer.
Will Scotland come out on top? Is Wales’ kit the best Adidas have on offer? And where will England place?
With intricate patterns the flavour of the month, here’s how we rate them from worst to best…
24. Ukraine
Looks every bit a Ukraine home shirt, with the yellow Joma kit displaying some very subtle patterns on the front and a skinny blue collar and sleeve combo.
23. Czech Republic
Puma have taken a shining to the “all-over graphics” for their latest kits, and the Czech jersey celebrates the Lípa tree, the Slavic symbol for freedom. Puma’s Austria and Italy kits are far better, in our opinion.
22. Hungary
Wales, is that you? Predominantly red with bits of white and green, this Hungary kit is supposedly inspired by the Danube river. We’re not entirely sure how, mind.
21. Switzerland
Nothing special, but the flag is a big plus… On top of that, the two-tone red kit features the Swiss and Puma logos in a neat row, and that’s about as much as we can say about this shirt.
20. Belgium
In case you can’t tell, the bold brushstrokes on this adidas Belgium kit are supposed to show off the letter “B”. It makes for a striking design, but the jury’s out.
19. Portugal
All a bit Tiger Woods on the last day of a major, but at least the red, green and black trim down the sides is a nice addition to this Nike jersey.
18. Poland
Nike claim this Poland kit harks back to the late 1970s and early 1980s, and with the enlarged crest and red-trim collar it makes for a simple but effective design.
17. England
One of more simple designs by Nike for Euro 2020, the central number, badge and sponsor combo was last used by England at Euro 2004, but gives off 1996 and 1998 vibes. If it’s worn on 11 July and England break their Euros duck at Wembley – it’ll be a kit to remember for England fans.
16. Turkey
A clean look with the red collar and sleeve cuffs. The white star and crescent is a tidy addition inside the red chest band, and like all of Nike’s kits for Euro 2020, the jersey is made with 100 per cent recycled plastic bottles.
15. Denmark
The classic Hummel chevrons give this Danish raglan kit a very Danish feel, but more importantly on the body of the jersey there is a soundwave pattern going across the shirt. The exact pattern was designed based on fans singing the Danish national anthem at Parken Stadium.
14. Sweden
Quite similar to Russia and Wales kits in terms of design, adidas have opted for the striped cuffs once more and when paired with Sweden’s traditional yellow background, it makes for a kit that shines brighter than most.
13. Russia
A backlash saw Adidas remove the blue from the sleeves of this home Russia kit, leaving them with a jersey that has made us thankful Wales have opted for yellow stripes to differentiate.
12. Netherlands
Can you ever go wrong with a Netherlands home kit? This latest edition has a lion pattern knitted into the famous orange jersey. You might have to squint.
11. North Macedonia
Simple but effective, the North Macedonian flag shines out from the crest and spreads across the front of the jersey, made by Jako.
10. Croatia
Anything but red-and-white checks wouldn’t be right for a Croatia home kit, and so Nike kept with tradition with their latest jersey. Blue stripes down the sides make this a little different, but it’s still a classic.
9. Spain
A classic look with a slight twist as adidas opt for different hues of red on the front of the jersey, inspired by the Spanish flag.
8. Finland
Kits incorporating flags. Nearly always a winner. Going from royal to dark blue, the Nordic cross also features a golden Nike swoosh as well as the Finnish badge on a white background.
7. Austria
In case you were wondering, the pattern is “inspired by the Vienna Secession art nouveau style movement of the late 19th century,” according to Puma. Not far off from the Arsenal jerseys of old, which isn’t a bad thing.
6. Scotland
The red-and-white tipping on the sleeve cuffs of this panelled two-tone navy kit – traditional navy blue and collegiate navy, apparently – gets our seal of approval. A very decent jersey which Scottish fans will be hoping becomes even more memorable if they can sink England at Wembley on 18 June.
5. Germany
The horizontal black stripes work. The flag-inspired stripes on the sleeve cuffs work. It screams Germany home kit, which also works.
4. Slovakia
This Slovakia kit could well divide opinion. It is a big difference to Nike’s other home jerseys around this summer, but the patterned-blue front for us is a grower and will be a great contrast when they take on Sweden in Group E.
3. Italy
A celebration of Italy’s renaissance culture, this nod to Italian architecture and art “reinterprets the luxurious Renaissance patterns of the past into a modern geometric graphic”. That’s good enough for us.
2. Wales
The striped cuffs are a classy addition to this Adidas kit which uses the colour palette inspired by the shield of Owain Glyndwr. The crest was a new addition when this kit was unveiled in 2019, their first badge change since 2010, and it makes for a classy jersey.
1. France
We have a winner. The red band harks back to the 1998 World Cup-winning kit and is a great addition to the home jersey, which according to Nike “takes its lead from the iconic marinière design with blue stripes flowing horizontally over a darker blue base”. Tops the lot.
