With the exception of Son Heung-min, Fantasy Premier League managers weren’t given many reasons to invest in Spurs assets during the short-lived Nuno Espirito Santo era, but that could be set to change following the appointment of Antonio Conte on Tuesday.
The Italian will take charge of his first Premier League game in over three years on Sunday when Spurs face Everton and he will be hopeful of getting off to a good start given his new team’s promising run of fixtures. After this weekend’s assignment at Goodison Park, Spurs will play Leeds, Burnley, Brentford, Norwich and Brighton in their next five games.
Conte, along with the other 19 managers in the division – including potentially Unai Emery, who is being strongly linked with Newcastle United – will have a fortnight to prepare for a gruelling winter schedule after the conclusion of Gameweek 11. The upcoming international break will either come as a blessing or curse to FPL managers, depending on whether their arrows have been green or red of late.
Gameweek 10 was a historic one as Mo Salah became the most captained player in the history of FPL with over 4.6 million managers entrusting him with the armband. Salah smashed his own record after being captained by 3.5m managers in Gameweek 8 when Liverpool ran out 5-0 winners over Watford. A five point return against Brighton means he has only blanked once in 10 matches this season.
As for our Gameweek 10 selections, it was an inopportune time to select three Manchester City assets after they suffered a shock 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at home. Thankfully, our differential picks pulled our squad just above the weekly average score of 42, with Burnley midfielder Maxwel Cornet and Leeds forward Rodrigo Moreno scoring a combined 16 points. There were also returns for more popular assets, Ben Chilwell and Salah, the latter selected as our newsletter exclusive captain.

Here is our chosen XI for Gameweek 11 which comes in at £82.5m, half a million below the weekly budget of £83m. Remember that this week’s deadline is at 6.30pm on Friday night.
Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal)
Despite being the better team and fully deserving of their 2-0 win over Leicester last weekend, Arsenal were still indebted to their goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale for keeping Jamie Vardy and co at bay. Ramsdale racked up eight stops at the King Power to preserve his clean sheet, including that save of the season contender from James Maddison’s free-kick. Since replacing Bernd Leno in Gameweek 4, Ramsdale has earned more FPL points (39) than any other goalkeeper in the game.
Price: £4.7m Points: 39 Gameweek 11 fixture: Watford (h)
Reece James (Chelsea)
Reece James has scored three goals in his last two Premier League games and each one has oozed quality. There was the inch-perfect dink over Norwich’s Tim Krul in Gameweek 9, followed by a ferocious drive on his weaker left foot and an unforgiving half-volley on his right at St James’ Park in Gameweek 10. No player in the game has racked up more points than James (34) over the past two gameweeks, in which he has attempted five shots and created five chances apiece.
Price: £5.7m Points: 56 Gameweek 11 fixture: Burnley (h)
Ben Chilwell (Chelsea)
Over the past two weekends, we’ve selected Reece James for his 13-pointer in Gameweek 9 and Ben Chilwell for his eight points in Gameweek 8. Both make the cut this week as the duo have form and a favourable fixture on their side ahead of Chelsea‘s home game against Burnley at Stamford Bridge. Since making his first appearance of the season in Gameweek 7, Chilwell has averaged 10.75 points per game. If doubling up, beware the Thomas Tuchel tombola and ensure you have a strong bench!
Price: £6.0m Points: 43 Gameweek 11 fixture: Burnley (h)
Tino Livramento (Southampton)
Start your weekend off right by making sure Tino Livramento is in your starting line-up (rather than tucked away on your substitutes bench) ahead of Southampton’s Friday night game against Aston Villa. Only Chelsea’s aforementioned free-scoring duo Ben Chilwell (with 43) and Reece James (35) have accumulated more FPL points among defenders than the 18-year-old over the past four gameweeks. Livramento has blanked just once in his last seven games and can maintain that form against an out-of-sorts Aston Villa.
Price: £4.4m Points: 42 Gameweek 11 fixture: Aston Villa (h)
Marc Cucurella (Brighton)
Marc Cucurella has made a big impact at the Amex this season and not purely due to his bushy mane of hair. Over the past four gameweeks, the marauding left-back ranks top among all defenders for chances created with nine despite playing against both Manchester City and Liverpool during that time. Only Arsenal and Norwich have scored fewer goals on their travels than Newcastle this season, raising Cucurella’s prospects at both ends of the pitch.
Price: £5.0m Points: 25 Gameweek 11 fixture: Newcastle (h)
Mo Salah (Liverpool)
Considering his FPL ownership has now soared above the 70 per cent mark, you can expect Salah to be the most captained player once more this gameweek. We may as well copy and paste that sentence each week. That is no reflection on his upcoming opponents, however, as West Ham have been in superb form, as reflected by their position of second to Chelsea in the league’s form table over the past five matches. But as long as Salah is averaging 11.2 points per game, he is an auto-pick each week.
Price: 12.9m Points: 112 Gameweek 11 fixture: West Ham (a)
Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)
Crystal Palace are a totally different proposition under Patrick Vieira than they were in the Roy Hodgson days, as highlighted during their richly deserved win at the Etihad on Saturday. Wilfried Zaha opened the scoring before playing the pass before the final pass for Conor Gallagher’s clincher late on. Gallagher and Michael Olise (£5.4m) are good low-cost options to target from Palace’s midfield but it could be worth paying a bit extra for Zaha as he has played as a forward and is on penalty-taking duty.
Price: £6.9m Points: 40 Gameweek 11 fixture: Wolves
Phil Foden (Man City)
Manchester City have certainly enjoyed better weeks under Pep Guardiola. The perennial Carabao Cup winners were dumped out of the competition by West Ham on penalties and then suffered a rare home defeat to Crystal Palace in the league. Guardiola will expect a reaction in the Manchester derby and Phil Foden could have a big part to play. Since Gameweek 7, only Mo Salah (nine) has had more attempts on target among midfielders than Foden (eight).
Price: £8.2m Points: 37 Gameweek 11 fixture: Man Utd (a)
Ivan Toney (Brentford)
Ivan Toney’s impressive performances in the Premier League haven’t yet translated into FPL points with the striker scoring twice and registering two assists in his opening 10 games. Nevertheless, his stats across the campaign are promising ahead of this weekend’s game against a Norwich side bereft of confidence. Toney ranks second among forwards for big chances created (with four) and is fourth for shots (25). This could be the week in which Toney explodes as an FPL asset.
Price: £6.6m Points: 37 Gameweek 11 fixture: Norwich (h)
Harry Kane (Spurs)
Harry Kane has had the look of a disinterested kid being dragged around the supermarket so far this season, but if anything can shake the Spurs striker from his slumber it is surely the arrival of a world-class manager. Conte has made no secret of his admiration for Kane, describing him as “one of the best players in the world” back in 2018 and revitalising his form will be an early priority. Kane has an exceptional record against this weekend’s opponents Everton, scoring 11 goals in 12 league games against them.
Price: £12.1m Points: 25 Gameweek 11 fixture: Everton (a)
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal)
It is probably too early to say with any real degree of confidence that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is truly back as an FPL asset, but he is certainly showing signs of life after last season’s struggles. The Arsenal skipper has been quietly ticking along on FPL, accumulating the second-highest number of points among forwards since Gameweek 4. Aubameyang has also scored in each of his last four home games in the league and has netted six times in five matches against Sunday’s opponents Watford.
Price: £10.0m Points: 39 Gameweek 11 fixture: Watford (h)
