Premier League injury news: Latest on Lukaku, Robertson and Romero injuries for fantasy football Gameweek 11

The Premier League returns following a two-week pause on Saturday and, as ever after an international break, there are question marks over the fitness of plenty of the division’s players.

Jurgen Klopp has had a fortnight to stew over Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat to West Ham and his mood is unlikely to have improved after a couple of key members of his squad suffered knocks while away with their countries.

Antonio Conte will have been pleased to have seen a number of his Spurs stars get on the scoresheet during the break, but less so by the sight of key defender Cristian Romero hobbling off against Brazil.

And Thomas Tuchel could have a fuller squad to pick from for Saturday’s early kick-off against Leicester than has been the case in recent weeks, with Romelu Lukaku returning to training.

Here is all the latest key injury news for Fantasy Premier League managers ahead of Gameweek 12.

Klopp has a few injury issues to contend with ahead of Liverpool’s game against Arsenal. Roberto Firmino (£8.8m) is out for the foreseeable future with a “serious” hamstring injury, meaning Diogo Jota (£7.5m), listed as a midfielder in FPL, should get a prolonged run in the side as a central striker.

In defence, Klopp may be without Andy Robertson (£7.0m) after he suffered a hamstring injury while playing for Scotland. Kostas Tsimikas (£3.9m) is set to deputise if Robertson is unable to feature. Jordan Henderson (£5.0m) also returned early from England duty due to a tight groin, but Gareth Southgate suggested it was a precautionary measure. Sadio Mane (£11.9m) trained on Tuesday despite suffering a rib injury while playing for Senegal against Togo.

Naby Keita (£5.0m), Curtis Jones (£5.0m), James Milner (£4.9m) and Joe Gomez (£4.7m) are all still injured, but Harvey Elliott (£5.3m) is back on the comeback trail after suffering a horrific ankle injury in September.

Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka (£4.8m) remains out with a knee injury. Thomas Partey (5.0m) will be assessed for a groin injury after missing the victory over Watford before the international break.

A number of Tottenham players enjoyed the international break, with Harry Kane (£12.2m), Son Heung-min (£10.3m) and Steven Bergwijn (£5.9m) all among the goals. Cristian Romero (£4.9m), meanwhile, was part of an Argentina squad that sealed World Cup qualification, but it came at a cost as he was forced off during the stalemate against Brazil with a hamstring injury. He will be assessed ahead of Sunday’s game against Leeds. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (£4.9m) will also be assessed after missing Denmark’s defeat to Scotland with a knee injury. Oliver Skipp (£4.5m) is suspended after collecting five yellow cards.

Manchester United will be without World Cup winning pair Raphael Varane (£5.5m) and Paul Pogba (£7.5m) for their trip to Watford, because of hamstring injuries. Luke Shaw (£5.2m) could be available after missing England’s internationals due to concussion protocols.

Jack Grealish (£7.7m) missed England’s 10-0 win over San Marino after suffering a knock and will be assessed ahead of Manchester City’s match with Everton. Aymeric Laporte (£5.5m) is available after serving a suspension following his red card against Crystal Palace.

Steven Gerrard will have Ezri Konsa (£4.9m) available after serving a suspension. It is unclear whether Danny Ings (£7.7m) will return after missing Villa’s last two games with an unspecified issue. Douglas Luiz (£4.5m) will be assessed after missing Brazil’s matches due to a “soft tissue” injury.
