Women’s World Cup 2023 fixtures list: Who’s in every group and the schedule in full

The 2023 Women’s World Cup is now less than a week away as excitement builds for another busy summer of football.

For the first time in its history, Australia and New Zealand will co-host the tournament, with the number of participants increased from 24 to 32.

It is also the first tournament of its kind to be held in the Southern Hemisphere.

The United States are aiming to win their third consecutive title, a feat that has never been done before, but with England and Spain boasting elite talent of their own it will be a hard ask.

The Lionesses, winners of last year’s European Championships, are clear favourites to win their group and are among the frontrunners to lift the trophy next month.

However, with potential dark horses Denmark also in Group D, it might not be as easy as it seems.

Women’s World Cup 2022 groups

Group A – New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Switzerland

Group B – Australia, Republic of Ireland, Nigeria, Canada

Group C – Spain, Costa Rica, Zambia, Japan

Group D – England, Haiti, Denmark, China

Group E – USA, Vietnam, Netherlands, Portugal

Group F – France, Jamaica, Brazil, Panama

Group G – Sweden, South Africa, Italy, Argentina

Group H – Germany, Morocco, Colombia, South Korea

As for Spain, they find themselves in Group C with Japan, Zambia and Costa Rica, so should qualify for the last 16.

Defending champions USA kick-off their campaign against Vietnam on Saturday 22 July, with the Netherlands and Portugal making up the rest of Group E respectively.

The tournament starts on Thursday 20 July as New Zealand welcome Norway to Eden Park in Auckland.
