Newport County were forced to apologise to Leicester defender Christian Fuchs after an unfortunate error on the official teamsheet before the two sides met in Sunday’s FA Cup clash at Rodney Parade.
A mis-spelling saw the German star’s name appear as “Christian Fucks”.
Former Leicester striker and Match of the Day host Gary Lineker was among those to point out the mistake.
“The official team sheet. Check out Leicester’s number 28,” he wrote on Twitter.

With thousands retweeting the photo, Newport took to the social media platform to apologise.
“We get it. We’ve had a bit of a fuch-ing nightmare. Thanks Gary. Apologies @FuchsOfficial…”
On the pitch itself, the League Two side pulled off the upset of the round with Jamille Matt’s first-half header and a late penalty from Padraig Amond sealing a famous 2-1 victory for Newport and securing their place in the FA Cup fourth round draw.
