The Champions League semi-finals are nearly upon is and we are guaranteed at least one English side batting for continental silverware – although there could be two.
With Manchester United losing to Barcelona on Tuesday night, Liverpool face the prospect of a tie with Lionel Messi and co having beaten Porto 6-1 on aggregate.
While the prospect of an all-English final is still possible, there is no chance of two all-English semi-finals, as Tottenham have dumped out Manchester City and will now face the young Ajax side who beat Juventus.

Semi final draw and dates
The semi-finals were drawn at the same time as the quarter finals and the structure has already been defined.
Having beaten City in a thriller at the Etihad, Tottenham will face Ajax in their semi-final with the first leg at home while Barcelona will host Liverpool in the semi-final on the other side of the draw.

The final will be played on the 1 June 2019, at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.
