Huddersfield Town face FA punishment after what appeared to be a publicity stunt involving a new shirt sponsor in their midweek friendly visit to Rochdale.
The Championship side wore an obtrusive diagonal sash across their jerseys bearing the company’s name.
That contravened FA regulations that limit sponsors’ logos. to one patch not exceeding 200 centimetres on the shirt front.
Huddersfield have been asked for their observations with the FA promising action.
An FA statement read: “The FA has clear kit and advertising regulations for all club matchday kits.
“If we believe that any club has breached these rules we will look into the matter and, if required, will take the appropriate action.”
