Manchester United appear to have leaped to the top of the queue of English clubs interested in Lille winger Nicolas Pépé.
The 24-year-old Ivory Coast international is also reportedly attracting interest from Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool after his French club indicated they were prepared to do business at £70 million.
Reports suggest United have opened negotiations with Lille, for whom Pepe scored 22 times last season as his club finished second and qualified for the Champions League.
United would fund that move with the sale of Romelu Lukaku although, having rejected an opening £54 million bid from Inter Milan, they are stubbornly holding out for £90m.
