Manchester United head to a rejuvenated Brighton on Tuesday as both sides look to keep their positive momentum going since the restart.
Brighton have steered clear of the Premier League relegation scrap after picking up four points from two games, and Graham Potter’s side will be out for another scalp at the Amex Stadium having beaten Arsenal there on 20 June.
United are unbeaten themselves since football’s return, most recently booking their spot in the FA Cup semi-finals, but they still face an uphill battle to secure fourth given several Champions League-chasing sides are also in good form.
Wolves leapfrogged United into fifth after victory at Villa handed them a third-straight win, while FA Cup semi-final bound Chelsea remain in the driving seat in fourth, five points clear of United.
Victory at Brighton would help United reclaim fifth, but the hosts will be all too aware of how significant three points could be in their own fight for survival.
