Gameweek deadlines are coming thick and fast now that the Premier League has resumed, although this one – on Saturday 27 June at 11.30am – will be the last for a whole week.
The FA Cup will take up the time of some teams this weekend meaning Gameweek 32+ lasts for six consecutive days.
As such, the risk of rotation is looming, even with mandatory drinks breaks designed to mitigate injuries and the heatwave engulfing England as well as a hectic fixture list starting to take its toll.
Nevertheless, you can’t go far wrong with these five players this week, and most of them should be good enough and fit enough to stay in your line-up for the rest of the season.
You will also notice that all five of these week’s tips are away from home, which is partially a coincidence but also a function of the fact that home advantage has been significantly reduced by behind-closed-doors football.
Raul Jimenez, FWD, Wolves (away at Aston Villa)
If you haven’t already got Raul Jimenez in your team, it’s not too late. Wolves’ run-in is probably the best of any team: home games against Arsenal, Everton and Crystal Palace as well as trips to Aston Villa, Sheffield United, Burnley and Chelsea.
This weekend’s match-up with Villa means you should have at least one member of the Wolves backline in there as well (Matt Doherty is pricey at £6.4 but plays as a wing-back and one who loves getting close to goal), but Jimenez is a must-have at this point.
Adama Traore (£5.8m) is in fine form but Nuno’s propensity to use him as an impact sub might put you off. When Traore starts though, Raul is the main beneficiary. The Spaniard has provided the assist for 10 of Jimenez’s 15 league goals this year.

Anthony Martial, MID, Man Utd (away at Brighton)
Okay, it’s not rocket science given that he has just scored a hat-trick but we’re applying Occam’s razor, which essentially is the idea that the most obvious answer is more often the right one.
Anthony Martial is listed as a midfielder, meaning his goals are worth an extra point, but plays as a striker.
At £8.0m (but rising) he is cheaper than some of the other elite options, including popular teammate Bruno Fernandes at £8.7m.
United’s fixtures mean you will not have to drop either, barring injury, because they face just one top-half team (Leicester away on the final day, when the Foxes will likely be firmly “flip-flops on”) between now and the end of the season.
Cost: £8.0m Points: 145
Christian Pulisic, MID, Chelsea (away at West Ham)
Chelsea might become a bit of an FPL bogey team next season if the squad is as stacked as it looks with the arrival of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner. It will be tough to figure out what Frank Lampard’s best team is.
In the meantime though, Lampard is kind enough to be relatively consistent with his team selection and often open in advance about it.
Pulisic had just begun to establish himself as a first-team regular when he got injured in training but now appears to be fully fit again and scored from the bench against Aston Villa in his first appearance since January.
The American now looks set to win back his place in the starting XI and, like Martial, is a forward who gets the added bonus of five points for his goals rather than four by virtue of being listed as a midfielder.
Cost: £6.9m Points: 77
Alex McCarthy, GK, Southampton (away at Watford)
The Saints are an ever-improving side under Ralph Hasenhuttl and bear little resemblance now to the one that was thrashed 9-0 by Leicester.
McCarthy himself returned to the team on the back of that defeat and is now the regular keeper behind an improved defensive line.
He probably isn’t a long-term option with Manchester City and United coming in GW 33+ and 35+ but at £4.5m he can be brought into your rotation quite easily and could pick up a decent haul against relegation-threatened Watford.
Cost: £4.5m Points: 74
Dele Alli, MID, Tottenham (away at Sheff Utd)
Tottenham fans will tell you to steer clear of their team at the moment, especially if there is something better on TV.
Jose Mourinho’s masterplan is in full flow, with Spurs tightly tucked in and asked to defend within an inch of their life to grab some points.
However, a trip to South Yorkshire, where the wheels appear to have come off the Chris Wilder hype train, should allow them the chance to show a little more expansion going forward and Alli is a valuable asset to that end.
