Liverpool have been Premier League champions since 25 June, and after a 30-year wait for top-flight glory they are days away from lifting the trophy.
Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City last month confirmed Liverpool’s triumph, sparking jubilant scenes around Merseyside.
And while details of a trophy parade are not yet known due to the coronavirus pandemic, Liverpool now know the date they will receive the silverware and medals.
What date will Liverpool lift the trophy?
Liverpool will finally get their hands on the Premier League trophy during a presentation at Anfield after their final home game of the season against Chelsea on Wednesday 22 July.
With kick-off at 8.15pm, the trophy lift will likely take place two hours later at around 10.30pm.
Where will captain Jordan Henderson lift the trophy?
Rows of seats have been taken out of the Kop so that there is sufficient space for a temporary stage to be put in where the players will lift the trophy.
Captain Jordan Henderson will not be involved in the game after suffering a season-ending injury against Brighton but he will be front and centre of the celebrations.
Jurgen Klopp even hinted that his skipper could go full John Terry by getting kitted up for the occasion, depending on what the Premier League rules are in such situations.
“Do we get him out of the tracksuit? I don’t know yet, we will do everything that is possible to do it the right way,” said Klopp.
“I have no idea what will be the rule. If you are not in the starting lineup – which will be difficult for Hendo – then I don’t know what we will do. Then Hendo will be there and he will wear the match kit and everything will be fine.”
How to watch the trophy lift for free
Liverpool’s match against Chelsea is live on Sky Sports Premier League and Main Event, with coverage starting at 8pm on 22 July.
Sky Sports have also made the game at Anfield one of their 25 free-to-air matches since the restart.
That means supporters can watch the trophy lift for free on Sky Pick, which is channel 159 on Sky and 144 on Freeview. It can also be watched on Now TV.
How will supporters be involved?
Unfortunately, due to coronavirus, no fans will be in attendance to watch Liverpool lift a domestic league title for the first time since 1990.
However, the club has announced that there will be a “unique presentation designed to acknowledge and celebrate Liverpool fans”.
Liverpool have encouraged supporters to send videos and photographs of their own celebrations to the club’s social media channels but have urged fans to stay at home and not congregate outside Anfield.
Will there be any legends in attendance?
Sir Kenny Dalglish was the Liverpool manager when they won the old First Division title in 1989-90 and he will be at Anfield to hand out the winners’ medals to the current squad.
“King Kenny” is the only legend confirmed so far, with the size of any potential guest-list not clear given the current circumstances.
