Are you languishing at the bottom of your Fantasy Premier League mini-league with no route to the top of the table in sight?
We’ve all been there.
Luckily, the “Free Hit” function could offer you an escape from the foot of the league.
What is a Free Hit?
The Free Hit chip allows managers to make an unlimited amount of transfers in a selected Gameweek.
It differentiates itself from the Wildcard in that your transfers are only active for one Gameweek – once a round of matches is completed your squad reverts to its original form.
How do I use my Free Hit?
To use your Free Hit visit the ‘Transfers’ tab and make more than one transfer.
Now click ‘Make transfers’ and then select ‘Play Free Hit’.
When can I use my Free Hit?
The Free Hit can be used once during the Premier League season.
When should I use my Free Hit?
There are two approaches that can be taken when implementing the Free Hit chip.
First of all, players might want to temporarily patch up their squad during a Gameweek affected by postponed fixtures. The Free Hit chip allows players to ensure that their team features players from teams guaranteed to be playing.
Alternatively fantasy footballers might want to capitalise on a ‘Double Gameweek’ in which teams have more than one fixture in the same week. In this case the Free Hit chip allows players to temporarily bolster their squad with players who will likely feature twice in the selected Gameweek.
How will it affect my players’ prices?
Following the use of your Free Hit your squad will return to its original incarnation and players will be able to feel the benefit of price changes.
Can I cancel my Free Hit?
No, once your Free Hit has been redeemed you are unable to reverse your decision.
