Premier League table and results: Boxing day scores in full as Brentford and Spurs draw before four 3pm KOs

Tottenham fought back from two goals down to secure a vital point against Brentford as the Premier League returned on Boxing Day.

The Bees were the livelier side from the off and made the most of some sluggish defending to lead 2-0 through Vitaly Janelt and Ivan Toney.

But Spurs struck back with a bullet header from Harry Kane and Pierre Emile Hojbjerg’s calm finish in the box.

The result means Tottenham draw level on points with Newcastle in third place ahead of the Magpies’ clash with Leicester, which is one of six other Premier League matches on Boxing Day.
