The Europa League group stages are drawing to a close, giving European sides the chance to pursue some silverware in the form of a European cup and a place in the Champions League next season.
It is certainly a welcome distraction for sides such as Arsenal and Chelsea who may see a title challenge as too far gone already, or may find contention for Champions League spots too fierce towards the end of the season.
In terms of British representation in the latter stages, Arsenal and Chelsea have already qualified as group winners. Rangers have a chance of qualifying as winners or runners up, while Celtic will likely qualify as runners up.

Meanwhile Liverpool and Tottenham could possibly drop down as third-placed teams in their Champions League groups, depending on their results in the group stage.

Time: 12pm, Monday 17 December at Uefa’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, after the Champions League draw

Qualified teams
There will be two pots for the draw, one (seeded) containing the 12 group winners and the four best-ranked teams from the Champions league. The other pot (unseeded) will contain runners up and the remaining Champions League teams.
The seeded teams will have home advantage for the second leg of the Round of 32. No team can play a side from their group or their home association.
