Arsenal’s rescheduled Premier League match against Wolves at the Emirates will take place on Thursday and be broadcast live on Amazon Prime.
The game was originally scheduled to take place on 28 December and was set to be one of 10 matches broadcast live on Amazon Prime’s streaming service over the festive period, before being postponed due to Covid.
Amazon’s partnership with the Premier League began at the start of the 2019-20 campaign and their package with the league includes two slots of 10 matches – one at a weekend and the other during a midweek.
Due to postponements earlier in the campaign, though, Amazon has a few matches outstanding including Arsenal vs Wolves. The streaming giant will also broadcast Leeds vs Aston Villa and Everton vs Newcastle live in March.
It will be the second time that the teams have met in the last two weeks after the Gunners edged a 1-0 win at Molineux despite going down to 10 men following a peculiar Gabriel Martinelli sending off.
The Brazilian received two yellow cards in the space of a few seconds after pushing Daniel Podence as he took a throw-in before barging into the back of Chiquinho. Martinelli was suspended for Saturday’s 2-1 win over Brentford but is available for selection on Thursday.
Mikel Arteta said that he had “never seen anything like it” during his 18 years in English football.

The race for the top four is set to be a photo finish as Arteta’s men aim to hunt down Manchester United, London rivals West Ham and Spurs and Wolves themselves, to secure a return to the Champions League.
Asked whether the top four is in Arsenal’s hands after Saturday’s win against Brentford, Arteta replied: “It’s a long way to go but we are a little bit closer today because we have won our game and that’s what we have to do. You can see with the results how tough it to win in this league.
“We have to go on Thursday again. We need to prepare really well because against Wolves it’s going to be a difficult match and we’ll need to perform well to win and play better and better and better. That’s the aim.”
Arsenal are in a strong position given they are four points behind fourth-placed Manchester United with three games in hand, after having a number of games called off earlier in the season.
The Gunners have improved considerably this term after recording back-to-back eighth-place finishes in the Premier League, but so too have Wolves under Bruno Lage.
More on Premier League
Despite being unknown to most British supporters, Lage has taken a side that ended the 2020-21 season in 13th to the brink of European qualification.
He has developed Wolves into a defensive powerhouse with the joint second-best defence in the league alongside Chelsea (18) – only Man City have conceded less (17). However, they are also the third-lowest goalscorers in the league – only Burnley and Norwich have scored fewer.
After a 2-1 win against Leicester, Lage was asked what the secret was to ‘being a Premier League form team’ and he replied: “Hard work. There are no secrets in football, we said to the boys before the game, there’s no secret so we need to go again for 90 minutes.”
Arsenal predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Ramsdale; Cedric, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe; Lacazette.
Wolves predicted line-up (3-5-2): Sa; Kilman, Coady, Saiss; Semedo, Dendoncker, Neves, Moutinho, Marcal; Jimenez, Podence.
