Carabao Cup draw in full: EFL Cup 2023-24 fixtures list dates and how to watch the first round on TV

The Carabao Cup first round draw is complete for the 2023-24 season.

Newly-relegated Leeds United face Shrewsbury Town, while Hollywood-owned Wrexham will host 2006 finalists Wigan Athletic.

Leicester City, who also dropped down into the Championship, face a Midlands derby with Burton Albion, while Southampton travel to Gillingham and new League Two side Notts County take on Grimsby Town.

Some of the standout all-Championship ties include Queens Park Rangers vs Norwich City and Stoke City vs West Bromwich Albion.

A total of 36 fixtures have been drawn, with all 72 football league clubs involved. The teams have been drawn into northern and southern sections for the first round.

The 12 Premier League clubs not involved in Europe will join the competition in the second round, with the other eight joining in the third.

When is the Carabao Cup first round?

The Carabao Cup first round takes place in the week commencing 7 August, which follows the first weekend of action in the Championship, League One and League Two.

How to watch the Carabao Cup on TV

Sky Sports is the home of the Carabao Cup for the 2023-24 season.

The broadcaster will show 15 games from the competition, with two games from each round as well as both legs of the semi-finals and culminating in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday 25 February 2024.
