Richarlison has scored 13 goals this season for Marco Silva’s Everton including an acrobatic volley against Manchester United on Sunday but was then taken off in the 51st minute with a suspected injury.
The Brazilian will be a huge miss if he does not fully recover, especially as his side try to continue their excellent form.
His absence could derail his side given the fact he has started every game since coming off the substitute’s bench in the derby draw with Liverpool in early March.
How serious is the injury?
Silva said the suspected rib injury was painful shortly after the Manchester United game, sparking fears of a potential break.
The Everton manager said on Sunday: “It is painful at the moment but we have to wait and see if he needs an examination to see what has happened with him.
“In two days we will know more about the situation but we hope it is nothing special but when Richarlison has to be out of a match that means he is in a really difficult position.”
Where next for Everton?
Everton are yet to confirm whether the forward will face Crystal Palace, and the chances are high that he will at the most start on the substitutes bench.
Theo Walcott will be the likely replacement for the Brazilian and with Lucas Digne also potentially sitting out the game at Selhurst Park, Silva could be forced to change tactics or field a weaker side.
Should I keep him in my FPL side?
Until a firm update comes out of Goodison Park, it would be unwise for Fantasy Premier League managers to sell Richarlison.

He has 146 points over the season and is in excellent form and, if he is fit, will be raring to go against Crystal Palace.
He is also only 25 per cent likely to miss out, according to the FPL website at the time of writing, which indicates the injury is not as serious as feared.
