The absence of Roberto Pereyra from Watford‘s team against Arsenal concerned the Fantasy Premier League managers who have him currently selected in their squads.
The Argentine seemed to have recovered from his hip issues when he played the full 120 minutes of Watford’s FA Cup semi-final against Wolves, but was left out of the matchday squad for Monday’s Premier League encounter.
Given he is currently classified as a doubt for the upcoming matches against Huddersfield and Southampton, some may be tempted to transfer him out for another option.
Here is everything you need to know about his injury.
How serious is the injury?

Speaking before the FA Cup semi-final, Javi Gracia said he had withdrawn the Argentine as a precaution at half-time against Fulham: “They [Pereyra and Success] will train tomorrow and we will see. They are doubts. Pereyra felt some pain but I think he can be ready for the next game.
“Roberto Pereyra is an important player for us. I think he will be ready for the next game. If he is not available I have other players ready, waiting for the chance to play.”
Speaking after the match with Arsenal on Monday, Gracia told the media: “Gerard and Roberto last week had some moments when we thought they would be ready.
“But two training sessions before the game, Gerard had some problems and Roberto didn’t feel confident to play. It was better to wait. Gerard, Roberto, Domingos Quina, Peñaranda, Tom Cleverley and Holebas are all out of the team with different problems.”
It seems he simply may have been rested against Arsenal as a precaution.
Should I take him out of my FPL side?
No. Huddersfield are the weakest team in the league and although it is a slight doubt, it sounds like Pereyra may make a return for the match. Against Huddersfield’s defence you would back him to rack up some points if he features – given Deeney’s three match ban and the patchy form of Andre Gray you would expect his inclusion would be wanted by Javi Gracia.
If he doesn’t start, then that is what your bench is for.
