Leeds sack Jesse Marsch after less than a year in charge after Nottingham Forest defeat

Leeds United have sacked Jesse Marsch following Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest left the club without a win in seven games.

The American took over less than a year ago, replacing the hugely popular Marcelo Bielsa, and kept Leeds up – albeit narrowly – on the final day of last season thanks to a 2-1 victory over Brentford.

Flirtation with relegation has continued, however, and Leeds are currently out of the drop zone only on goal difference.

More to follow.
