Manchester City have been charged by the Premier League with a number of breaches of financial rules across nine consecutive seasons, reaching back as far as 2009-10.
There are over 100 breaches in total, many of them referring to sponsorship and contracts, but also more recently to the club’s alleged lack of cooperation with the Premier League’s investigation.
There are also alleged issues relating to manager remuneration between 2009-10 to 2011-12, alongside breaches regarding player contracts.
Possible sanctions for the club if these breaches are proven include points deductions or even expulsion from the league.
