What time is the England Euros fan event in Trafalgar Square today? How to get tickets and when to watch on TV

England’s women have made history, ending 56 years of hurt by defeating Germany in extra time to win Euro 2022.

Substitute Chloe Kelly poked home a loose ball from a corner to save the nation from an agonising penalty shootout.

Ella Toone had put the Lionesses ahead at Wembley with a stunning chip just after the hour mark, before Germany’s Lina Magull equalised after 79 minutes.

England’s celebrations were appropriately raucous – it’s the first time the Lionesses have won a major international tournament, and the first ever Euros victory for any England football side.

Players partied to “Sweet Caroline” on the pitch and crashed manager Sarina Wiegman’s post-match press conference with chants of “football’s coming home”.

And those celebrations will continue into Monday with an event at Trafalgar Square in London.

Here is everything you need to know about it.

When is England’s Trafalgar Square celebration?

The celebration will start at 11am on Monday, and is expected to last until around 2pm.

It will begin with live music from DJ Monki to a backdrop of tournament highlights on big screens.

There will then be a Q&A session with England’s heroes followed by a trophy lift.

Fans will be able to bring their own food and disposable or reusable water bottles – except glass – onto the site, and free water refills will be available.

Football Association chief executive Mark Bullingham said: “This is an iconic moment for English football and everyone is so proud of the players, Sarina and the support team.

“They’ve captured the nation’s hearts and it is an achievement that will be remembered forever.

“It has been an honour to host the tournament in England and the fans have been so important during the team’s journey to success this summer, so it’s only right that they can celebrate this historic victory together at Trafalgar Square.”
