Chelsea vs Tottenham: Kick-off time, TV channel, team news, predictions and how to watch a live stream

Chelsea are aiming to end Tottenham’s 10-game streak without a loss to prevent themselves falling further out of the title race and into an increasingly hectic top four battle.

The Blues’ 1-1 draw with Brighton means that Spurs could overtake Chelsea if they win all their games in hand.

Antonio Conte’s squad overtook Man City’s historic 3-2 win against QPR as the latest a team has trailed a game but gone on to win it when they scored twice late against Leicester, rising into fifth above North London rivals Arsenal.

Here’s everything you need to know about Sunday’s clash with Chelsea.

How to watch

  • Date: Sunday 23 January
  • Kick-off: 4.30pm
  • TV channel: Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Ultra HD
  • Live stream: Now TV

Team news

Andreas Christensen will miss another match due to Covid isolation but should be back in training next week.

Reece James is now in individual training and Trevoh Chalobah is back with the group but it is “way too early” for either to play on Sunday.

Conte did however confirm that Eric Dier is fit and available.

Is there no going back for Chelsea?

Chelsea were the favourite to win the Premier League when the season started, a wise prediction considering they are the reigning champions of Europe.

The 1-1 draw with Liverpool in August seemed to confirm that prediction as Thomas Tuchel organised a resolute team managing to hold on in the second half with only ten men.

The West London club have won only one game in the last seven league matches which is way off the mark from title contention.

Chelsea appea to have lost a certain spark which can be attributed to the loss of Ben Chilwell and James as Marcus Alonso and Callum Hudson-Odoi have proven to be inadequate place-holders.

After Spurs, Chelsea have what appears to be an easier fixture run facing Crystal Palace, Burnley, Newcastle and Norwich but Manchester City already seem to be running away with the league title ,leading by 11 points.

Tuchel’s saving grace will be the Champions League once again but it is key that he also has a respectable league campaign finishing no lower than third.
