Most fantasy football players think the most important decision you make is your team selection, but they are wrong – it is clearly your team name.
Whether you want to go for a tried and tested pun or come up with something completely original, your team’s branding is everything. Vibes, not points, will carry you to your office title (though try to pick some good players just in case).
Here’s a guide on how to change your FPL team name, as well as 50 of the best suggestions for the 2023-24 season.
How do you change your FPL team name?
You cannot change your team name until you have selected your squad, so get that nailed down first. You can use the auto-pick feature if you want to get straight to the name, though, and then sort your squad out later.
Once you have a squad you can change your team name by following these steps:
- Go to the Pick Team section of the FPL website
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Admin tab next to the list of upcoming fixtures
- Click on the Team Details option
- Under the Team Name option, type your new name (maximum 20 characters)
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Update Details
And that’s it, you have your team name. If you’re looking for inspiration, have a look at some of our suggestions below.
